Ninebot E2 Plus
Segway's lightest, cheapest commuter scooter, inside the 25 km/h legal class by design. Discontinued and largely sold out; succeeded by the E2 Plus II.
Where you can ride it
Legality is computed from this scooter's specs against each state and territory's rules. It is a guide, not legal advice. Per state figures are a July 2026 draft and are being verified against official sources. Always confirm your local rules.

Should you buy it?
Best suited to
Riders who want the lightest, cheapest way into the Segway range and do not need long range. At 14.4 kg it is easy to carry, and its 25 km/h top speed sits inside the legal class by design, not by app limiting.
Standout strength
Genuinely light at 14.4 kg with a trusted Segway build and low maintenance airless tyres.
Main compromise
Modest real world range, no suspension, and currently discontinued: new stock is scarce.
Check before buying. Confirm whether a listing is for the original E2 Plus or the newer E2 Plus II (adds front suspension) before buying. Stock of the original is effectively sold out nationwide.
